“Therefore, my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.” (Psalm 16:9-10, ESV)
Scripture Meditation (AI3Magi): Do You Feel Truly Secure in Your Soul? (Ps 16:9–10)
“Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.” (Psalm 16:9–10, ESV)
Do you feel truly secure in your soul? In a world filled with noise and fear, this kind of peace can seem out of reach. But David, in Psalm 16, speaks from a place of deep assurance. His joy isn’t rooted in outward comfort but in an inward confidence—he knows he is held by a faithful God. Even in the shadow of death, he finds rest, not anxiety. His trust in God brings peace to both heart and flesh.
This is the kind of soul security Jesus makes possible for us. Because He, the Holy One, did not see corruption but conquered death, we too can approach God with boldness. Grace and mercy aren’t distant promises—they’re daily gifts, accessible through the power of prayer. And the Holy Spirit, our constant helper, empowers us to live not in fear, but in freedom.
No matter what you face today, remember this: you are not abandoned. You are known, loved, and kept. Let your heart rejoice and your whole being rest. You can be secure in your soul—because He is faithful.
