{ Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God. } (3 John 1:11, ESV)

Scripture Meditation (AI3Magi): Are You Imitating Good or Evil? (3 John 1:11)

“Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.” These words from 3 John 1:11 gently but firmly guide our hearts toward the light of spiritual discernment. To imitate good and not evil is more than behavior management—it is a reflection of whose presence we walk in. When we trust in God and open ourselves to His transforming love, our lives begin to mirror His character.

In a world that celebrates self over surrender and shadows over truth, the call to imitate good is a bold and countercultural choice. It demands more than moral effort; it requires the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. He alone enables us to recognize good, desire it, and walk in it with consistency. Our daily choices—what we dwell on, how we speak, how we respond—reveal whose likeness we are imitating.

And when we falter? Grace and mercy meet us there. God does not expect perfection, but direction—toward Him. The power of prayer is our daily lifeline, drawing us near to the One who is perfectly good. As we pray, we align with His heart, and He shapes ours.

Let us approach His presence boldly today, not in fear of failing, but in faith that He is working in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. To imitate good and not evil is to walk in step with the Spirit, to reflect the love of Christ, and to testify that we have indeed seen God. Amen! 🙏
